4th Nordic Econometric Meeting, Tartu, Estonia, 24-26 May 2007

 

 

The 4th Nordic Econometric Meeting will be held in Tartu, Estonia, 24 - 26 May 2007. The conference is organised by the University of Tartu and Bank of Estonia on behalf of the Nordic Econometric Network.

 

The scientific program consists of two lectures by the keynote speaker, and invited and contributed sessions. The keynote speaker will be Professor Badi Baltagi from Syracuse University, United States. Prof. Baltagi will give two lectures on panel data and spatial econometrics.

 

The 1st Nordic Econometric Meeting was held May 2001 in Sonderborg, Denmark, the 2nd in Bergen, Norway, May 2003 and the 3rd in Helsinki, Finland, May 2005. The goal of the conference is to enhance econometric research in the Nordic countries. The conference is open for econometricians from all countries. It will cover a broad range of topics in econometric theory and applied econometrics, including but not restricted to macroeconomics, financial economics, industrial economics, labour economics and spatial economics.

   

The scientific committee of the conference will consist of the members of the steering committee of the Nordic Econometric Network. The head of the local organizing committee is Prof. Tiiu Paas, the Professor of Econometrics at University of Tartu.
